I love Facebook. My feed is filled with pages and groups that I am 100% interested in. As I scroll down laughing at old Carry On Film quote, drool over an appetising looking recipe, (you know the ones, where you click through and have to read 1000 words about how the creator got to that point. Usually via a nostalgic trip down memory lane…). I also love to read what people I know are up to, both personally and professionally…..(nosey….)

BUT…I switch off the moment I see a simple copy and paste of another Facebook business page into a group. No engagement, no thought and no incentive for me to want to explore further. Most of us will admit that we like to chat, that we like to be ‘nosey’ and also that we like to be part of something. Most of us may also admit that we too aren’t interested in just clicking on a link just because we know the person who posted it….SO….here is something that you may want to be part of…

  • If you are a female who has attended and IBAK, (KITA) KWIBA or HABA event you are invited to join this private Facebook group…https://www.facebook.com/groups/KWIBA/
  • Please don’t forget to answer the questions.
  • Join in/Start a conversation
  • Every Tuesday we invite you to share something about your business, (obviously having read the above paragraph you won’t simply be copying and pasting a link. The aim is to engage with other members, get to know them, let them get to know you and who knows….

With Christmas coming up it would be wonderful to see us support our local network. I know that I have made a decision to try and doing a lot of my Christmas shopping through small, local businesses I have had some engagement and interaction with.

The power of building a local network can be amazing, especially when there are so many wonderful people out there doing wonderful things….we just don’t know about them yet…

I look forward to getting to know more about your business, company or role in the future…

Also, if you are hosting any business networking events that you would like to share with the group. Please let us know.

Thanks for reading this
