Standing on the stage for the 9th time at the Kent Women in Business Awards I was totally blown away by how electric the atmosphere was. For many, the last time they had been out properly was to the Awards back in 2020 and here we were again with very different stories to share.
The Goosebumps I felt as I walked up to the stage for the opening words almost made me giggle, in fact I did giggle a lot that evening as there was an air of freedom and perhaps a little mischief on my part! All the hard work has already been done by that point and we firmly believe in kicking back and celebrating what brought us all to that point.
For the Great Danes Hotel, the 2020 Awards was the last event of this type they hosted before lockdown and the 2021 event was the first one since. I felt as though we were all finding our feet again and us as organisers and the hotel staff united as one team to make the evening such a phenomenal success.
We are always grateful for the people who support these awards and in particular our judging panel who are successful business women in their own right. We are always keen to add new people to the panel and do look at previous winners as they bring a lovely perspective to the team.
For the 2022 awards, we have made the decision to bring the event back to March, where it usually is in the calendar and as the Great Danes already have an event booked on 11th March we will be moving the 10th celebrations to the Ashford International Hotel. Can you believe it will be the 10th ceremony? That in itself is something to celebrate.
