The 2018 Kent Women in Business Awards is a night we shall remember for a long time to come. Over 250 people joined us to celebrate achievements of women across the whole county in their business and in their careers. The chatter across social media has shown just how important this event has become in the business calendar.
This year the event was sponsored by Breakthrough Group and Pink Lady Apples as well as supported by other local companies there were 18 awards up for grabs in total, from Start-Up Business of the Year won by Claire Turner, Educational Life CIC to Professional Achievement Award won by Natalie Mackenzie – The BIS Services to the Leadership and Management Award won by Rasa Dregva – MMM-Media Ltd. An additional award, Inspired Achievement closes the night and this year it was presented to Joanna Strickland who received a standing ovation for an acceptance speech that touched so many of the audience directly. One of the BEST things about the Kent Women in Business Awards is that after the event so many of the attendees connect and often form long lasting relationships. There is a HUGE element of supporting each other that shines through.
